November 2023 | Vol 3.10 From the President's Desk As we gear up to celebrate the holiday season with our loved ones, I just wanted to send out my warmest wishes to all of you. May these festive days be filled with joy, peace, and loads of shared happiness. On behalf of the ICON board I want to extend heartfelt thanks to everyone who made the Diwali celebrations a huge success! Thank you to all volunteers for their time and efforts in putting together a well-planned and fun-filled evening. We look forward to any feedback you have to make future events even better - please leave us your feedback here. This time of year gives us a chance to come together and remember the values that make us strong and united. It is the season of giving, so calling for your help with our book drive that ICON is currently running in collaboration with Needham Public Library in order to stock the library with more books about and from India. Please donate any amount of money towards book purchase or donate lightly used books - details in the newsletter below. Here's to working together for a brighter and more prosperous future for everyone.

Shalini Jha President, 2023-2024 ICON Board Recent Event: ICON Diwali Night 2023 Thank you to everyone for the enthusiastic response to the Diwali Night. The team worked very hard behind the scenes to put up a grand evening of fun.
ICON and Needham Public Library: India month and book drive Needham Library, in junction with ICON hosted November as "India Month". We hope you were able to stop by and pick a book or thank the librarian for having such a nice display. On that note, ICON is thrilled to announce our special book drive, and we invite our wonderful community to participate to show case India's history, culture, traditions and heritage in a dedicated shelf at Needham Library. You can choose from 2 options to contribute: 1️⃣ Sponsor a Book: You can either purchase or donate a gently used book to your preference and drop off. 2️⃣ Donate funds to Buy Books: Make a monetary donation of any amount and we'll use these funds to purchase a selection of high-quality books.
